Lama Ole Nydahl
Lama Ole Nydahl is one of the few fully-qualified western Lamas and a Diamond Way buddhist meditation master in the Karma Kagyu lineage. When he first travelled with his wife Hannah to the Himalayas, they met the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, head of Karma Kagyu lineage. After three years of intensive training, the 16th Karmapa asked both Lama Ole and Hannah to return to the West and start teaching Buddhism. On this request, Lama Ole Nydahl has spent more than 45 years traveling around the world teaching. He and his wife have founded more than 700 centers for lay Buddhist practitioners around the world.
