Diamondway Buddhism is the fastest developing buddhist community in Bulgaria. Keeping the essence of the buddhist teachings and based on a centuries-old authentic tradition, we are using them in a form suitable for the contemporary world. These methods bring the potential of everyone, who chose to use them, to an ultimate development. They allow us to dissolve our limitations and develop fearless, joyful and wise activity for the benefit of others.
Some insignificant buddhist groups in Bulgaria are expressing understandable jealousy towards our growth during the last two decades, and mix teachings on the nature of mind with politics. Negative and false opinions from groups that do not have direct observations of our work, are usually expressed in Internet forums. For years, these phenomena have not provoked any reaction in us, as we consider that mutual verbal attacks can only bring harm and are not a good style of communication between people with the same goal - to benefit everyone through the methods of a Buddha.
Our development in over 600 meditation centers in the entire world is based on friendship, idealism and transparency, and especially emphasizes the lack of hierarchical and institutional structures. It is totally based on the methods taught by Buddha which reached us in an unbroken transmission lineage from teacher to student. The activity of Lama Ole Nydahl, in the entire civilized world in the last 40 years, in the name of the XVI Karmapa Rangdjung Rigpe Dordje and nowadays the XVII Karmapa Thaye Dordje, preserves the teachings of Buddha, bringing them in a contemporary context. This allows critical minded, independent and intelligent people to meet them. His work is a direct continuation of the activity of Padmasambhawa (Guru Rinpoche) - the first great teacher in the Niyngma lineage, who brought and organised Budhha's teachings in Tibet. He still inspires all practitioners.
We hope that with this clarification we dissolve all potential misunderstandings with publications on the Internet and we can go back to our work for the benefit of all.
